Connect to <Server> window appears unexpectedly when trying to login to Ferrysoft Help Desk.
Symptoms
Windows prompts for User name and Password ahead of the Ferrysoft Help Desk login page.
Cause
This is caused by Ferrysoft Help Desk not being configured to allow anonymous access.
Resolution
To resolve this, use Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager to enable anonymous access for the Ferrysoft Help Desk web site:
Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
Expand the tree to select the FerrysoftHelpDesk web site.
Action, Properties.
Select the Directory Security tab.
Click the Authentication and access control Edit button.
Untick everything in the Authenticated access panel.
Tick 'Enable anonymous access'.
